Samantha Mullen

Picture
Samantha is an Endicott College alum, receiving her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business and minors in both Dance and Psychology in 2013. She continued her studies at Endicott, completing her Masters of Business Administration in May of 2014.

Her dance career began at a young age, taking assorted dance classes in her hometown of Tewksbury, MA. As Sam lacked the coordination to play team sports, she miraculously found her athletic calling in dance and went on to dance on the sidelines of team sports. She was part of the Endicott College Dance Team all four years of school. While there, Sam was able to compete nationally at the UDA National Dance Competition in the Pom and Jazz categories. She also dance at the Endicott football and basketball games, showing support for her fellow Gulls. Sam also continued to improve her dancing abilities by taking classes in the Performing Arts department at Endicott. Through her work in dance ensemble and composition classes, she was able to foster her own creativity by choreographing her own dance pieces.

Sam has been lucky enough to have worked with choreographers such as Kathrine Naame-Rosech of Parsons dance Company, Sarah-Katarina of Skooj ChorE-O and Boston Contemporary Dance Project, Mariah Steel of Quicksilver Dance, Bruce Weber of Still Motion, Caitlin Meehan of Falling Flight Project and Monkeyhouse, and Nicole Harris and Karen Krolak of Monkeyhouse. She has also taken workshops from esteemed companies such as Boston Ballet, Piloblus, and Alvin Ailey to name a few. Her experiences with this wide variety of talented dancers and choreographers as attributed to her success as a dancer today as well as her drive to continue to create new movement.

Sam began dancing with Monkeyhouse in June of 2013. She has performed in Dance at the Fells: Wright’s Pond in Medford, MA and is excited to continue her journey with Monkeyhouse, especially the creation of the Dancing Mandala Project.
