Ava is from Maryland, United States. She began her training at the Baltimore Ballet School. After relocating to Charleston, South Carolina, she attended the SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities in Greenville, SC. She began choreographing her senior year, by creating two pieces for her senior showcase with guidance from Tracy Vogt. She now attends the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, pursuing a BFA in Contemporary Dance Performance to be completed in 2024. Ava has performed work by Andrea Miller, Gustavo Ramírez Sansano, Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, José Limón, and Heather Stewart. She is a member of the 2024 aMaSSiT cohort under the mentorship of karen Krolak, where she is continuing to investigate her choreographic voice and developing a new work. Additionally, Ava has studied movement at intensives at GALLIM, Arts Umbrella, SALT, and the University of the Arts.
