Carli DiMeo (she/her) is a Boston-based dancer and occupational therapist. She graduated from Boston University in 2018 with a degree in behavioral health and a minor in dance and in 2021 with a doctorate in occupational therapy. She currently spends her time sharing her passion for dance with youth at studios in the New England area and working as a psychiatric occupational therapist at three area hospitals. Carli combines her dance experience with her knowledge and training in mental health to promote healthy and safe forms of de-escalation for individuals managing mental health challenges and times of crises. While dancing at Boston University, Carli worked under mentorship from Micki Taylor-Pinney, Peter DiMuro, Lindsey Leduc, and Ann Brown Allen and had the opportunity to perform in pieces and present original work at the American College Dance Festival conferences. Most recently, Carli served as the dance captain for Contemporarily Out of Order Company, a Boston based contemporary company under direction of Wendy O'Byrne from 2018-2020. While serving in this role, Carli choreographed numerous company pieces and supported the director in rehearsing and organizing multiple evening length performances. Carli is currently seeking new opportunities to connect with the Boston dance community and challenge her creative boundaries.
