Elizabeth Powers is a New England based contemporary dancer and choreographer. She is a current company member of Monkeyhouse and Sasso & Company, as well as a co-director of B-A-R Dance Co. Elizabeth creates work through a collaborative process. She is interested in contact, floorwork, and improvisation. Elizabeth strives to create work that embodies the process in which it is created. Elizabeth’s work has been presented in various venues throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island including Monkeyhouse’s re[ACT], re[BUILD], re[CONNECT], NACHMO Boston, and Providence Movement Festival. Elizabeth has gratefully received mentorship through Monkeyhouse’s Choreographic Mentorship Program, OnStage Dance Company’s Residency Program, and The Dance Complex’s aMaSSiT-a make it, share it, show it Choreography Mentorship Lab.
