Geetika is a scientist who has always been passionate about dance. She trained in classical Indian dances and has been performing at various events throughout. She used to choreograph for school/college/corporate events back in Delhi before moving to United States for higher education. Since then dancing got less and less due to school and advanced trainings. After accomplishments in her professional career, she have gotten back to dance. Geetika created a dance group of women. The group is called "Bawri" . The word Bawri can translate to being passionate about something/anything. So the group includes women who are busy raising families with full time jobs but come together for the love of the art and thus the name Bawri! Geetika leads the group mostly and choreographs. The group was founded in 2021 around July. They have performed at various events organized by Indian associations/ non-profit organizations in MA. Geetika wishes to continue to keep dancing along with her research work in science for which she is equally passionate.
