Janice Zhai

Hi! I'm Janice Zhai, a seventeen-year-old currently studying at Groton School. Dance has been an invaluable part in my life, as it provides me with an incredible outlet of self-expression, allowing me to explore my thoughts and emotions in ways that go beyond the verbal. I have been dancing for the past five years, training in styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and musical theater. I've been involved in various dance performances, such as Arts in the Park and Ocean Art Walk—two annual functions organized by the Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation (where I'm originally from) to spread awareness for local artists and climate change—as well as school musicals and dance recitals.
