Libby Bullinger (she/her) is a dance educator and choreographer from Boston, MA. She received her formative dance training at José Mateo Ballet Theatre, and in 2022 graduated from Mercyhurst University with a BFA in Dance and a BA in Dance Education.
Following graduation, Libby moved back to Boston and is delighted to be residing, teaching, and choreographing in her home city. Libby is a faculty member at Boston Ballet School and José Mateo Ballet Theatre, in addition to teaching guest classes and workshops in local arts and education communities.
In 2022, Libby established Dance LAB, an artistic collective that aims to produce dance projects based on creative collaboration, vulnerable exploration, and the generation of innovative art. Dance LAB artists come from a variety of backgrounds and careers, and the collective explores various points of inspiration through contemporary movement styles. Libby founded Dance LAB with a goal of valuing the whole person in an environment where dancers are often reduced to their physical attributes versus their creative contributions as humans.
Libby is committed to her own continuing pursuit of learning and study of dance scholarship. She is currently continuing her dance education through the National Dance Education Organization to ensure she can provide high-quality, informed, and research-based instruction to dance students, and lead other professional artists in compassionate and uplifting ways.
