Madison Florence
Madison Florence is a Boston-based dancer and choreographer who has established herself as a collaborative artist and independent creator while interweaving her expertise in marketing in her creative work. After starting at two years old, Madison performed competitively in jazz, hip hop, tap, and modern dance. She also trained in ballet and pointe under Connecticut Concert Ballet, Ballet Theater Company lead by Brett Raphael and Román Baca, and the Hartt School. Madison began training with dancEnlight lead by Lorelei Chang through summer intensives and the dancEnlight Pre-Professional Company where she made her choreographic debut. After 16 years of dance in Connecticut, Madison attended Simmons University to study Public Relations/Marketing Communications and Graphic Design. Over her four years at Simmons she was a dancer, choreographer, and board member of the Simmons College Dance Company holding the position of co-president and creating the role Marketing Chair while growing the company to 80 dancers and encouraging a diverse range of styles and levels. Madison has performed with Skooj, BCDP Repertory Experience, Azeb Freitas and Lilly Reyes. She has been a member of Novum Dance Collective since 2019 and served as Marketing Director since 2021. Madison is also an independent choreographer creating a variety of pieces including her current project, Finding Space.
