Marissa Chura is a Massachusetts based contemporary modern dancer and emerging choreographer. She holds a B.A. in Dance and Hispanic Studies from Connecticut College, where she performed in original work by David Dorfman, Lisa Race, Heidi Henderson, Thomas DeFrantz, and Derrick Yanford. Marissa's dancing draws on elements of her background in jazz and ballet while also actively exploring unexpected and unfamiliar movement paths. In addition to dance, Marissa is also a full-time daycare teacher and a certified Zumba instructor.
